It is our pleasure to announce that the ISO 20700: Guidelines for management consultancy services was published on 1 June 2017, after a three-year development project led by the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (ICMCI).

Congratulations to our profession, and recognition goes to all those involved during the past four years, and in particular to Roberto Ravaglia whose knowledge, experience and support were evident throughout the project and the work he delivered. To Thomas de Bellaigue as the standard would not have been what it is without his valuable contribution. We also extend our thanks to the ICMCI team led by Robert Bodenstein, those would include Jeremy Webster, Ilse Ennsfellner, Claudio Barella, Claudia Strohmaier and Louis Loizou who contributed with knowledge, experience, and lots of time to manage content and deadlines. Never forgetting the important and major role played by Brian Ing and Francesco D’Aprile all through. Also, our thanks goes to all the IMCs who supported the standard in cooperation with their standard institutes.
